Site Update – December 6, 2019:

There was limited site activity during the week of November 25, 2019 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. During the week of December 2, 2019, CTS completed installation of 69 of the 76 injection well casings planned for the site. Installation of additional injection well casings will continue the week of December 16, 2019.

CTS also began the In-Situ Chemical Injection (ISCO) treatment at the completed injection well casing locations. Potassium permanganate, used to break down contaminants into harmless compounds, was injected or emplaced at 3 of the 76 locations. Installation of emplacements will continue next week.
